To the Dream of My Dreams
Come thou into the kingdom of my dreams,
A never-never land beyond lost seas.
Come thou and crown my golden-sceptered schemes
In upcountry abodes and hidden leas.
Within the sanctum of the sleepy Moon
Or on th’ arena of the pageant Sun,
Succumb to blackest rapture in a swoon
Or with thy fair thy lords and ladies stun.
Bedeck the pride of temples with thy glance,
And limn august cathedrals with thy grace.
In cloudswept ballrooms glide in stately dance.
On boulevards of marble lead thy pace.
Seas, lands and walls cannot well disallow.
Into the kingdom of my dreams come thou.
